# CinematicKill
Transform combat in 7 Days to Die with dramatic slow-motion killcams, freeze frames, and cinematic visuals that make every kill feel impactful. Features an intuitive **in-game configuration menu** (press **~** when the game is paused) for instant customization without restarting.

## What This Mod Does
**CinematicKill** adds Hollywood-style effects to your zombie kills:
– **Slow Motion** – Time slows on kills with configurable intensity
– **Hitstop** – Brief freeze-frame for visceral impact
– **Camera Zoom** – Smooth FOV adjustment during kills
– **Screen Effects** – Vignette, color grading, and flash effects
– **Smart Triggers** – Context-aware effects for crits, dismemberments, long-range, and low-health kills
– **Killstreak System** – Build momentum with escalating bonuses
– **Intelligent Cooldowns** – Prevents spam with customizable global and per-trigger cooldowns

## In-Game Configuration Menu
**Press ~** when the game is paused to open the configuration menu and adjust settings in real-time. No need to edit XML files or restart the game!

## Key Features
### Context-Aware Triggers
Effects automatically adapt to different combat situations:
– **Critical Hits / Headshots**
– **Dismemberment**
– **Long Range**
– **Low Health**
Each trigger has independent chance settings (default: 100%) and optional cooldowns.
### Killstreak System
Build momentum with rapid kills
Streaks reset if you don’t get a kill within the time window
### Hitstop (Freeze Frame)
Brief time freeze (0.15s) on kill for crunchy, impactful feedback.

### Smart Cooldown System
**Global Cooldown** – 2.5s between any triggers (prevents spam)
– **Per-Trigger Cooldowns** – Optional individual cooldowns (default: 0s, disabled)
– **”Only Last Enemy” Mode** – Only triggers on the final enemy within 15m for dramatic finishers
## Installation
1. Download the mod
2. Extract `CinematicKill` folder to `7 Days To Die/Mods`
3. Launch the game
4. Press **~** to configure mod when the game is paused
## Compatibility
– **Client-Side Only** – Works in singleplayer
– **Safe to Add/Remove Mid-Save** – No world modifications
