Description
Coming Soon in 2.1:
Tired of one-size-fits-all cookbooks? In Vanilla Cookbook 2.1, we’re introducing Chapters! This is your kitchen, survivor, and now you decide what’s on the menu. Instead of downloading one huge mod, you’ll be able to grab individual categories—your very own chapters—to perfectly customize your apocalyptic run. The power to choose is back in your hands! We’re breaking this survival guide down into individual, bite-sized categories. Why lug around the whole library when you just need the section on dessert? Choose your culinary modules, lighten your load, and tailor the mod to your vision of the apocalypse!
Updates about future chapters (and their hilarious names) will be exclusive to the pages right here on 7 Days to Die Mods. This is the only place to keep up with what the next bite-sized chapter will be—including updates to our legendary The Sham Cookbook (where you can find all things sham!). Other sites get the updates only after they’ve been added to the modlets, so keep an eye on the mod pages here if you want to know what’s cooking!
Future Chapters Heading Your Way:
- Roadkill Cuisine – that one… kinda speaks for itself
- Apocalypse Just Deserts – because everyone has a sweet tooth in the end times
- The Root Awakening – roots… veggies.. get it? because sometimes meat is overrated
- A Broth-alypse Now – Your one stop shop for soups to keep you warm on those long red moon nights!
- The Final Thirst – all the drinks you need for this apocalypse
- and many more.
The goal here at GrayedSilence’s publishing department is to make sure you have everything you need to settle into the apocalypse for the long haul! Stay tuned for further updates!
Current Version 2.0
The only thing scarier than a Blood Moon Horde is another night of burnt venison. Level up your flavor game—because in this apocalypse, your taste buds deserve to survive, too! Sick of scraping by with the same three bland meals? This isn’t just a survival guide; it’s a gourmet manifesto! Bring flavor back to the end times! Tired of surviving the apocalypse only to feel like your chef skills are stuck in the Stone Age? The Wastelands Vanilla Cookbook adds 20 new recipes because let’s be honest, you deserve better than ‘Boiled Meat.’ Say goodbye to the dark ages of Burnt Meat, Mystery Guts, and that suspicious Canned Dog Food. Your meals will be so delicious they’ll be smelled for miles when you pull your glorious Shepherd’s Pie out of the campfire! Tired of smelling dead flesh in the air? Confuse those slow-witted zombies and mask your scent with the fragrant glory of Chicken Pot Pie and Fish Sticks!
The Culinary Armory (Vanilla Recipes include):
- Aloe Ice Cream (Because radiation deserves a sweet finish.)
- Blueberry Ice Cream
- Blueberry Muffin
- Blueberry Smoothie
- Breakfast Sandwich (The most important meal… for not starving.)
- Chicken Pot Pie
- Chicken Soup
- Fish Sticks
- French Fries
- Hot Honey Tea
- Hot Dog
- Mashed Potatoes
- Mushroom Pot Pie
- Pasta Salad
- Scrambled Melody (We don’t ask what the melody is.)
- Tuna fish Sandwich
- Fried Sham Sandwich (Still made of sham, but now fried sham!)
- Yucca Blueberry Pie
- Yucca Fritters
This mod uses 100% vanilla resources to craft the new recipes. I did not lock these behind progression, so you can start cooking immediately—as soon as you plop down a campfire somewhere. Having the ingredients? That’s entirely up to you, you scavenger. All items can be crafted on the campfire. Due to custom icons for the food it is server and client side.
Future Updates to Include:
- More recipes, obviously. I’m thinking “Questionable Roadkill Chili” and “Deep-Fried Zombie Fingers” (don’t worry, the recipe says the fingers are optional! I won’t stop until every vanilla ingredient is used, even that jar of old murky water.)
- A food buff that makes you temporarily immune to the smell of rotten flesh. (joking of course… or am I???)
- Support for new, thrilling ingredients like ‘Worn Shoe Leather’ and ‘Used Duct Tape.’
- New lootable food items, like the legendary Aloe and Blue berry smoothie with a chance of radiation reduction!
This mod has been updated and recreated by myself of the previous mod to work with new versions of the game! All hand positions and mesh files have been updated to fit the current state of the game, including food mesh files and displays!
