New minor update:
I packed both plane mods into one zip but TFP plane is still in separate mod file folder from the passenger planes mod file folder so you can choose both mods in the zip if you don’t mind using client and server mode but if you want to keep serverside only support then choose only the TFP C46 Plane mod file folder and skip the passenger planes C&S mod file.
The previous passenger plane download link no longer works so you find my both plane mods in one download link now. The passenger planes mod is basically still work in progress but it is playable and planes fly well and the controls are great. Let me know if any issues occur but so far after testing the mods myself I have not found any problems and the aircraft vehicles work well. Hope you enjoy!
The passenger plane mod might also be the very first flyable airplane mod 7dtd has ever seen that has big jet passenger planes at least I’ve never seen any similar mod published and I played 7dtd since alpha 16 in 2018.
Assets used in passenger planes mod are from Unity Asset Store and asset credits go to Polyeler and Alstra Infinite.
A modlet released to the public containing xml is property of TFP.

Yes the model is the same xml is basically identical. This would yell copy paste for the xml portion.
I’ve had things stolen from me including paid assets.
Everyone early on in modding DOES copy paste and you chase I believe are new as I’ve never seen your name anywhere or any modlets tied to your name. Maybe it would be best you take this down as this can be taken higher up the chain to a fun pimp themselves. They don’t tolerate such actions and while they can be lenient it’s best not to push the buttons. Lets all settle and move on.
@Thee_Legion(EndZ) I can’t really say I am new in modding anymore but maybe still new as publisher but I started modding 7dtd since 2022 (alpha 20) and I started learning using Unity for custom asset modding this year (2025) which is still basic and new but so far going pretty well.

And are you trying to say “Look, I’m an important person, the threat I made to you is serious” or something? This mod becomes the scene of a completely different comedy every day. I definitely come to check the comments at least once a day 😀
Yes I’m very important 😂 but the fact of the matter is this person (chase) has ripped another’s work and has done it in the past to oakraven as well. No im not policing anything but standing up for what’s right. A lot of us put in the real time to create mods just to have others copy and paste which is very bad. Maybe get on a forum and read what TFP say about such actions maybe you won’t post these types of comments again 😊 just because a mod is posted doesn’t mean anyone can have it, it is still owned by TFP and the original creator not the community. This is why I took my stuff off this site because I had someone take a bunch of my stuff. When you have months or years of doing something for free that you are proud of then post it to the community and someone comes along and in just a couple minutes rips your work is quite upsetting. So don’t be a keyboard warrior.

New prototype/test mod of medium passenger planes which is still basically work in progress but works well enough that it is playable. This may or may not be developed any further but we’ll see. But I cannot promise anything though. I would first need to get proper assets and sounds before I could really develop this any further but I will still share this just for fun if someone wants some basic but flyable passenger planes for 7dtd that never existed before.
This extra optional mod is not serverside supported since this one uses custom unity assets which were free from the unity asset store. The medium passenger planes use the model/prefabs with buff attributes so they do not easily hit anything or crash so the collision area is based to the vanilla gyrocopter. I also should tell you that the asset quality is not the best same with resolutions but what to really expect from free assets but the plane shapes are great and they still make a nice addition with this supply plane server side mod and they all fly nicely and controls work well. I might make a proper mod of this in the future with much better assets and unique sounds but this is only a consideration and may not actually happen but we’ll see.
This non serverside file is 100% extra and fully optional so if you want to stick with original serverside vanilla plane version only and keep the serverside support then skip this new file completely and since this extra optional mod is very similar to the original serverside supported supply plane mod I add it to this same mod page with the original serverside one.

If you don’t mind about serverside then choose the new file or both but if you want to keep the serverside support then skip the new file and use the original serverside file only.

At first I thought it was a hater comment but after seeing that many people wrote about it I got curious.
I create some mods for my server with Chat GPT. And yes, what is mentioned seems to be true. The code is most likely made with Chat GPT. Probably, Chat GPT creates the codes and then he makes minor edits. If his other mods have the same code structure, TheMeanOneMods cannot claim rights to any of his mods.
New: Updated the file with some additional edits to make it less similar but I shall remind everyone that anyone has right to use TFP assets and xmls without needing additional credit or permission as long some minor edits are done especially in IDs and some properties to avoid 100% copy or being too similar. Even so it is morally right to still make as different mod as possible and avoid copying but no law or any rule is still broken so it is all good. TFP assets and xmls are property of The Fun Pimps and all rights go to the game devs so what I know so far that as long the ingame assets and xmls are used for 7dtd modding it is fine and should not cause any issues and does not need additional crediting or permission but of course it is recommended to still credit the game devs though just in case. But It is not stealing if using ingame assets and xmls that are property of TFP as long it is done only in 7dtd. It would be whole different story if I used someone’s custom assets or any code like dll or cs for instance without permission or crediting then it would be considered theft and even crime. But using TFP assets and xml in 7dtd modding is completely fine and does not break any rules or law. Remember this!
Yes, claiming rights over XML is often nonsense. Because everything belongs to TFP. But some of the things you wrote are wrong.
If I made a mod that has not been made before, you cannot copy my XML. Let me give you an example: Imagine I designed a buff that occurs when you eat Steak and Potato. And if the buff is unique, meaning it is a buff that has never existed in the game files before, then no one can copy and use that buff anymore. Just like a custom dll mod. It belongs to me now. It’s that simple.
This difference is very important in XML and as far as I can see from your comment, you have no idea about this difference.
If you did not use an custom XML in this mod like I mentioned, the mod will not be removed anyway. But if it is the opposite, this mod will probably be removed, just like many mods were removed in the past.
I gotcha and I understand ya. Yes it is not right to copy someones xml with too similar text designs or copying too much overall but as long some edits is done like in ID, values or at least to make it little bit different in something it should be good to go. But since for instance some xml properties are pretty limited like some blocks and vehicles it is not that easy to make that much different in some values but the best way to make xml differ somehow from original or the other one is simply by setting some different values but at least making own IDs for blocks or vehicles for example is very important and even just minor changes to color or small values counts as unique. This one guy who I prefer not to mention here atm but who made the nonsense reddit post yesterday put things wayy out of proportion and worse when he tries to involve outside people to this nonsense drama. He is pretty famous modder but it does not matter how famous a person is, famous person does not mean good person and it takes one wrong move or a bad decision to ruin things badly even for him and actions can come back at to him pretty bad if this bull nonsense keeps going. That recent reddit post about exposing and name dropping is pretty serious and bad thing to do and can come back to him in bad way if he gets unlucky. But ya lets hope things calm down and get better soon. This xml mod issue should’ve been between me and him but I guess that is too late now lol.

@HeRd Please don’t use that word anymore, it’s getting old, just get over it already. Besides you really can’t “steal” TFP assets and codes as long they are not used in other games besides 7dtd. In modding side It is just ripping others off or copying at best if using similar xml edits but It is a different story always in 3rd party or outside codes and assets, copying or ripping off those are considered stealing. Yea I still did wrong at the beginning by ripping off or copying couple of xml lines but it is also minor compared to what some other modders could do or have done. And the “mean” guy who accused me of stealing first and basically harassed me for a while over this made such a huge scene over some xml lines which are also basically 7dtd property lmao.
He’s not famous or anything. As I said before, they’re just trying to manipulate things with a handful of people on their discord and tarnish the name of the person they’re targeting. That’s all. If you copy a custom XML like I mentioned above and only change its values, this is still unacceptable, you cannot use it without permission. But if it is already in the game files and can only be done in one way, no one can claim rights. (A very simple example: Item adding code structure.)

But coming to the point, yes, at first glance it looks like copy-paste. But where is the whole code? Just giving a small XML section with a simple screenshot??? It doesn’t seem convincing to me.
Of course they will target this comment, because the situation in this comment is very likely to be real. AI leaves easily noticeable traces in the code. Its grouping, code order, titles placed between codes, etc. If you are one of those who edit mod files for personal use, you will easily understand the mods made by AI.
And most importantly, you cannot claim any rights on the codes created by AI.
I don’t care what’s going on with this shapeless cardboard plane that’s only supposed to deliver airdrop missions. But I can say with certainty that the discord server that many people are talking about is terrible, just terrible.
@The Last Beaker you’re right about that I basically copied his version of the code with minor edits which is also basically wrong but it is still nothing compared to stealing assets or outside codes for instance which I would also never do because how serious issue it would be. I always think carefully when I make mods that I obey the law and common rules and common sense. But all those similar scripts basically belong to the game devs and anyone has right to use them as long they do not copy all of the lines from other modders. Making changes to IDs, some values and some properties basically makes the new script and line acceptable especially in common 7dtd XML.

Good evening mate, try searching “vehicleC46PlanePlaceable” it should be easily found with that. You can also spawn it with the debug menu. But you should be able to find it with C46 Supply Plane.

I may have first used too similar xml which can count as ripping off or copy catting at best but changes have been made to make it enough unique so please stop with that stealing accusation lol.
