Development Update (11/30/26)

The official lineup for the Nightfall Overhaul has expanded, now including:

  • TheMeanOne (Head Developer: Unity, C#, Player Experience)
  • DavidConnell (UI Developer, Interface Experience Developer), currently working on backpacks and other systems
  • NullZ (NPC & Entity Developer), currently focused on traders, bosses and every day creatures, with support in many other places
  • Pantstain (Weapons System Developer), currently working on all new WW2 and older-themed weapons, animations and attachments made exclusive for NightFall, with a mix of some of his current weapon pack
  • Graven (General Support & C# Developer) currently joining the team to develop custom crop irrigation systems for the Overhaul
  • Techfreq (Sound Effects Developer) focusing on systems for transitions and encounters
  • Grimlock (Map Developer) developing the official custom map for Nightfall

The Nightfall Overhaul

When the sun dies, the world changes. Shadows thicken, the air freezes, and something ancient begins to move. NightFall plunges survivors into a world where darkness is alive, the nights last longer, and the creatures lurking in them evolve into nightmarish, twisted horrors that stalk anything that breathes.

You step into the POI expecting dust, maybe a sleeper or two.
Instead, the darkness feels… aware of you.

Your flashlight flickers. Once. Twice.
Then the world is swallowed whole.

Somewhere behind you, a slow, wet dragging sound slides across the floorboards.
The temperature drops so sharply your breath fogs the air.
You raise your weapon, hands shaking — but you can’t see them.
You can’t see anything.

A shape shifts in the black.
Tall. Wrong. Its limbs scrape the ceiling like bone on concrete.
Two ember-red eyes blink open… and lock onto you.

BAM.

The creature slams the wall beside you, the entire house convulsing under the impact.
Your light sputters back to life for a heartbeat — just long enough to see claws curling around a doorway, a jaw unhinging far too wide, and flesh that should not exist.

You run.
The shadows follow.

And when you finally burst into daylight, panting, bleeding, shaking…
You know the sun won’t save you for long.

Because daylight is limited now.
Every minute spent building defenses, stacking resources, patching holes — it all feels like trying to hold back a tidal wave with bare hands.
You feel time slipping away, creeping toward dusk like a slow executioner.

When the light dies, it comes back.
Always.
Hunting.
Listening.
Closer every night.
