TheMeanOnes Pickups PLUS

7 days to die themeanones pickups plus

“TheMeanOnes Pickups PLUS” mod for 7 Days to Die enhances gameplay by allowing players to pick up and relocate various items, including workstations, traps, loot containers, quest chests, and even items like body bags to loot in the confines of safety. The mod aims to preserve resources and offers increased flexibility in managing and moving critical objects during gameplay.

Key Features and Categories

1. Workstations

  • Items Included:
    • Chemistry Station, Forge, Workbench, Cement Mixer, Dew Collector.
  • Functionality: All workstations can be picked up after being placed, and upon destruction, they drop only the workstation itself, without dropping additional materials like wood or stone.
  • Benefit: You can move essential crafting stations around your base or relocate to a new base without losing resources. This is ideal for players who need to frequently reorganize or relocate, ensuring that progress isn’t slowed down by resource loss.

2. Traps

  • Items Included:
    • Wooden Spike Trap, Scrap Iron Spike Trap, Barbed Wire Fence, Mines (Candy Tin, Air Filter, Cooking Pot, Hubcap).
  • Functionality: Traps can now be picked up and repositioned without dropping materials. Upon destruction, they only drop themselves.
  • Benefit: This provides flexibility in defensive planning, allowing you to easily reposition traps as threats evolve without the need to craft new traps. This is perfect for dynamic base defenses, adapting quickly to threats like hordes or invasions.

3. Loot Containers and Crates

  • Items Included:
    • Shipping Crates (Hero, Shamway, Lab Equipment, Bookstore, Car Parts, Shotgun Messiah, Working Stiffs, Savage Country, Mo Power Electronics, Construction Supplies).
    • Cardboard Boxes (Garage Storage, Cardboard Box).
  • Functionality: These containers can now be picked up and moved around without losing them or their contents. No extra materials drop upon destruction—just the crate itself.
  • Benefit: A significant advantage of this feature is that it allows you to bring loot crates back to your base to open them in safety. Instead of exposing yourself to danger while trying to loot in risky areas, you can transport crates back to your fortified base and open them at your convenience. This “run-and-gun” approach is especially helpful during infestations or horde attacks.

4. Weapons Bags and Munitions Boxes

  • Items Included:
    • Weapons Bags (Small, Large).
    • Munitions Boxes (Army, Red, Orange, Green, Blue).
  • Functionality: Weapons bags and munitions boxes can be picked up and relocated without losing any content or resources, allowing better organization of your loot.
  • Benefit: By enabling you to move these containers, the mod ensures that your valuable weapons and ammunition remain accessible and organized as your base layout evolves. This is especially useful for players who want to optimize their storage setup or secure their most valuable loot during high-intensity situations.

5. Ammo Piles and Military Goods

  • Items Included:
    • Ammo Piles (Small, Medium, Large), Military Goods (A, B, C, D).
  • Functionality: Ammo piles and military goods can be picked up, preserving their contents, and moved around for better storage management.
  • Benefit: This helps ensure that valuable ammunition and military supplies are stored in the most secure or easily accessible areas of your base, minimizing the chance of losing them during an attack.

6. Chemistry and Medical Piles

  • Items Included:
    • Chem Piles (Small, Medium, Large), Medical Loot Piles (A, B, Corner).
  • Functionality: These resources are now fully pickable, making it easy to relocate chemical and medical loot for better accessibility in key areas of your base.
  • Benefit: Keep critical health and chemical resources within easy reach during emergencies. This feature allows you to quickly respond to tough situations without worrying about losing access to vital supplies.

7. Food Piles

  • Items Included:
    • Food Piles (Small, Small Corner, Medium, Large).
  • Functionality: Food piles can now be picked up and moved without resource loss, ensuring that food is always available where you need it most.
  • Benefit: Perfect for survival-focused players, this feature ensures that your food storage is optimized for long sieges or defensive situations. You can strategically move food supplies to more secure areas when under attack, ensuring that your survival remains a top priority.

8. Quest Chests

  • Items Included:
    • Loot Chest Hero, Hardened Chest (Insecure, Secure T5), Buried Weapon Chest, Intro Buried Food Chest, Buried Food Stash Chest.
  • Functionality: Quest-related loot chests can now be picked up and relocated, allowing for secure storage or more strategic placement. These chests only drop themselves when destroyed, without additional materials.
  • Benefit: This ensures that you can move quest rewards to safer or more convenient areas within your base without the risk of losing them. This is especially helpful when you want to keep high-value loot secure or simply need to reorganize your storage areas.

9. Body Bags

  • Items Included:
    • Black and Yellow Body Bags, Pile Variants, Flies Variants.
  • Functionality: Body bags are now fully pickable and do not drop additional materials upon destruction.
  • Benefit: Useful for setting the atmosphere in certain areas of your base, body bags can be moved and reused for decorative or thematic purposes without needing to craft new ones.

Benefits of “TheMeanOnes Pickups PLUS” Mod

  1. Resource Conservation:
Items like workstations, traps, and loot containers can be moved without resource loss, which preserves your valuable materials. Upon destruction, only the item itself is dropped, without extra resources like wood, metal, or stone.
  2. Base Flexibility:
The mod allows you to pick up and relocate key items, enabling greater flexibility when designing or modifying your base. This feature is especially useful for players who like to frequently change their base layout or who need to move quickly to a new location without losing progress.
  3. Secure Looting:
One of the most beneficial aspects of this mod is the ability to pick up loot containers and transport them back to your base for opening. This feature ensures that you can loot in safety, away from potential threats like zombies or infestations. Instead of opening a crate in a dangerous area, you can secure it within your base and open it in peace, reducing the risk of losing valuable loot.
  4. Run-and-Gun Flexibility:
The ability to pick up loot crates and containers during infestations or horde attacks means you can “grab and go” when under pressure. This feature is especially useful during intense situations where staying in one location isn’t an option. By picking up loot crates, you save the loot and can reposition yourself in a safer area to continue fighting or looting.
  5. Efficient Inventory Management:
With the ability to pick up and move storage containers like ammo piles, military goods, and weapons bags, you can keep your most valuable items organized and secure. This prevents the loss of critical supplies during attacks or base redesigns, helping you manage your inventory effectively without wasting time and resources.

I can only get Shamway, Working Stiffs, etc. crates to pick-up. They display an option to hit Y (using controller on PC) – but nothing else listed above gives an option including hardened chests. I tried breaking down as well but it just gives the resources. What am I doing wrong?
