First of all. let me thank you and your team for this awesome overhaul mod. Sooo much nice changes and raise the fun level of this game to the next step. The last version was a bit tooo foggy @ the wasteland, it was nearly impossible to ride there, but now it’s nearly perfect adjusted. The only thing what i would like to disable is the degrading feature for the weapons and tools, because the gun parts are really to rare if you just play with 4 friends on our own PVE server. Sooooo, can you maybe tell me where in the config i need to check to disable it? And it might a nice feature to be able to just rework/upgrade weapon, as example from lvl 2 to 3, without destroy and recraft it. That would be awesome in my eyes. again thanks a lot for you countless effort 🙂 greetz Michael

A Overhaul is an All in one for a mod developer. It’s ALL of my mods minus a few put into one. So no kidding, I did copy paste MY OWN mods.

It’s all copy paste from vanilla xml in every mod unless you using code (c#) and thankfully some modders who aren’t self absorbed made code to share and help other modders accomplish their goal. the true art is adjusting the values and playing with buffs. Show me some of your work that isn’t a copy of the vanilla xml and I will show you where it is in the raw data folder of the game or can show you where the code originated and from who that made it possible. (holds squad car door open) Have a seat and enjoy the ride.
As stated above, every modder starts with the base game code, which they adjust accordingly, so every mod is a copy. However, seeing you react in this way tells me something. Either you can not figure out how to do it yourself, or you just like knocking someone whose mods may be succeeding better than yours. Ohh wait, you have no mods here that I can find, that is a shame. Those who can not, should not attack those who can simply because they are too unwilling to ask for help. Every issue you brought up in your original has been fixed, adjusted, or answered on Discord, but you decided to insult and attack instead of getting the help offered.
Now on to your comment about the childishness of a wall of shame. There is nothing childish about it. Showing how toxic a person is to the community helps the players and other modders in the discord know who to steer clear of. I am going to guess you have never been a part of the Darkness Falls Discord who will ridicule you and do anything to you within Discord capabilities up to banning you if you show such an attitude towards Khane or any of his mods. I have seen it happen many times. Attitude is everything and to use a movie quote from The Kingsman “Manners, maketh the man” Shame you don’t know the simplistic rules of manners when you have an issue with someone, it might take you further in life.
1. If a mod is stolen, the original owner of the mod contacts the site to remove the stolen mod. It’s that simple. Since you are not the author of the mod(s), your words have no meaning at all! Stop writing just to throw mud!!!
2. And “Wall of shame”. That page is completely disturbing. Taking people’s comments, sharing them there and insulting them… I have been following the modding community for years and this is the first time I have heard such a terrible thing. That page is really annoying thing that needs to be destroyed!!!

The Dude obviously can not listen, or is unable to understand, instructions and information that doesn’t match their view. As for a wall of shame, it is sadly a fact that some people need to see examples of bad behavior and some folks were rather kind to provide a number of them in a public forum. Martin specifically for being unable to accept his own mistakes, and the fact that his own words reveal he’s either ignorant or lying to cover up his mistakes.
Will you be putting this mod on the 7 mod launcher ?
Mod launcher brings problems. Manual downloading and installation is the safest and simplest way for 7 Days To Die mods. Stay away from third party applications.
On another note, is there any possibility to have POI names listed in trader quest list? I loved this feature from AGF HUD PLUS and it is a really nice QoL improvement as now I have to check each quest description individually.

This mod completly bad. I played a lots of great mods, this one is terrible. Visability kill it completly. Double Light sources doesnt help. What worse you can see a lot father under water than on ground. Fog looks too brightness (not even dark). No new weapons, no better skills over time no quests.
Tell me you haven’t played it without saying it. I’ve added tons of new weapons and tools and items. Custom. Plus this is a work in progress. If you don’t like it, go on somewhere else.
If you had a clue on how to make mods you wouldn’t be downloading it anyway so negativity is wild coming from people who have no clue.
Thousands of lines of code in this mod. 95% all original and mine. Not many can say that for overhauls.

I spend more than 20 hours on your mod. Today version is atleast playable. Before it there was no way to see more than 0,5m. Actually I could just turn off monitor and same effect. Now it is better, but it is still too foggy. Fog is ugly, on OLED screens looks like gamma +150%. Playing on random maps, I cant even find traders not mention about crash on trees all the time.
For time I spend I didnt find/craft any of “tons new weapons and tools”. I only drop all the time recipe for grass tool.
I overreacted with “terrible”, hordes are nice, even if they disturb in missions and some of the ideas are good, but summary… some of aspect make this mod hard to like.
Anyway keep doing your work.
I honestly feel like this is hard to believe. I say this because comparing fog values between previous version and this one are two different things.
I’ve played at least 40 or 50 hours on these settings prior to release as well as my moderators and test team. Not a single one complained once we dialed everything in.

Hey, I wanted to add my 2-cents. I was on version 1.11 and agree the fog was just too much. Couldn’t really play in the burnt biome because even with a helmet light, I couldn’t see more than a meter or two. Just downloaded 1.13 and it’s VERY much improved. Like the new Sickle design as well. Haven’t touched beehives or coops yet, but I like the mod quite a bit so far.
Love to hear this. We felt it was a needed change for experience. But kept the darkness!

looks interesting aside from the item level colors. like lv3 is very much same as lv6. why not use a progression color like Terraria using ROYGBIV or cold to hot / hot to cold colors?

Is there a way to lower the spawn rate in the forest? I started a new world to try the mod out and I couldn’t even get a proper camp set up due to a steady stream of zeds wandering around.

Will you be putting out a server side only version? I realize that some things won’t be in it but client side (for me and my players) isn’t really an option.
You have the Best QOL mods. One thing with 1.10 is that the sickle and schematic for it appear way to much in loot. I had to lower them to .0005 and still have times where I get 2 of one or the other or both when looting a farm truck or other things. I collected around 20+ of each the first couple of in-game days of playing.
Keep an eye out for update. It’s getting a REVAMP and also that sickle issue is being fixed.
There will be many cool updates including my own version of wandering hoards and things. So it’ll be approaching a full overhaul before I’m done.
Something I noticed is that when you point to an object the notification of what to do with that object is no longer in the middle of the screen but over to the side to the right where you dont see it at first. ( for instance when looting containers)

It bothers me a little that the backpack is too big. 90 slots is excessive and unrealistic in my opinion. I would limit it to 60, 70 at most. Then I would adjust the size of the health, stamina, food and drink indicators a bit. Make health and stamina bigger to make them more visible (even above the toolbelt) and food and drink smaller enough (maybe just % in the window). If anyone reads this, try to think about it. Otherwise this is a great mod 😉

I don’t think 90 slots is unrealistic. In the Militart, my large rucksack held all of 90 items. Lol. Also the UI was adjusted last update and exactly in a perfect place to where I wanted it.
I appreciate the input however.
Sure I get it, in the late game 90 is understandable. But in the early game, the size of the backpack removes the survival element of the game for a small disadvantage. The player can take everything he finds, get on his bike and go home. If the backpack size stayed at 90 and made 30 available at the start (instead of 50) it would be cool. We would have to consider more what the player actually needs. To me the game up to lvl 50 is survival, after 50 more zombie defense and the player is then more “military”. I don’t want you to take this as a criticism but the player up to lvl 50 is not strong enough in my opinion to have such a big backpack available.

I thought the mod was great, pretty good, but I saw two problems
N1: the TM1 wiring object appears too much on cars to the point of being annoying
N2: you can’t automatically accommodate backpack items and it’s kind of annoying since sometimes it takes up spaces of an item that I already have.
But leaving aside those two annoying problems, the mod is great and pretty well done, you can see the love that was put into this mod. Keep making great mods.
The next update hopefully releases today to fix that spawn issue. Join my discord woul love to know about #2?

Love 99% of this, with only one thing I’d like to see changed and that is with the UI/HUD improvements you made, whenever you see something to interact with the prompt is way over to the right of the screen, and not in the center. I find this rather jarring, and would prefer to keep looking forward and not have to keep looking to one side of the screen all the time. For now I’m uninstalling the QoL mod and sticking with the individuals. If this changes at some point i’ll revisit.

Is there a way I can adjust the press E promt for myself? Im not a modder, but I have messed around with the files to some degree (adjusting spawn rates, horde numbers and time, that sort of thing). I been waiting for D.Falls since the version dropped, so having the endless options your adding helps keeps things fresh, and for that thanks. Combined with the various map modders out there it really does make each new game a new experience.

only getting wire tool when looting cars and i cant pickup storage and move them like it states other than that its a awesome mod 🙂
I will adjust the wire tool spawn rates 🙂 also, to pickup storage you must break it when empty
I think it’s better to remove the Wire Tool completely from the drop.
Indeed, while this mod has a ton of positive changes, the Wire tool as loot is really immersion breaking.
Can’t it (and the dyes) be only craftable and not in the loot tables? The wire tool in particular, you can find multiples of in a random car…
This is a known issues. I am working on an update, that also adds even more things to the QOL mod.
For now, go to Loot.xml and erase the dyes and wire tool from it. Just don’t touch backpack sizes.
I’ve labeled it very well for people to adjust in a pinch 🙂

You didn’t see some of that because some of it is c# mods. However, you can try them.
I wanted to keep this one ServerSide. My full blown Survival AIO Overhaul coming soon will have very advanced features and functionality
Mods dont stack anymore and the new perk does not show up. also you can not fast grab out of any workstation, forge ect anymore

Please ensure you download the latest version.I just have submitted for it to be posted with said issues fixed. It was a simple append error when adding in other items that I overlooked. Sorry about that. Also as for the perk, I removed it and decided it was best in my perk pack. The install for it is below which includes 5 perks for you and your server. It is Server and Client download required for the perk pack, however for now.

thanks for the response and your work! As of right now i use a slightly older version of your overhaul and added the Precious ore perk as a standalone and changed some stack sizes myself.
And yes, i meant the quick move with the “r” hotkey when you wanna grab the finished products out of a furnace for example.

Note, the loot indicator is supposed to be off centered. I did it this way because it felt clunky.
Can you post a version without the loot indicator position being changed? Or maybe at least tell me where to change it on my own?

Can this be used with UI mods that add compass, temperature and other things similar to what this mod adds, or would this create conflict?
It would probably create conflict unless you sifted through the code and removed the items yourself. I wouldnt do it however, because it will also mess up your screen orientations set and break your game.
