Here comes the Successor to the ultimate City-Map “New York Undead“: New York Undead II.

This Map is not an Update – it’s a complete new Map with different Building-Positions etc.!

Info

  • This Time i used the World Generator “Teragon” which supports all new A20-Street-Tiles as you can see in the Pics.
  • So almost the whole Map is now covered with the brand new A20-Street-System.
  • Again i added many Streets & Buildings by Hand in the World Editor so the great Yacht is back πŸ™‚

Gameplay-Info

  • The whole Map is a burnt and devastated City so you’ll need much Experience to master this ultimate Survival Trip.
  • The Good Thing: This Map has many big Buildings and is a real Paradise for Looters and recommended for Players who like to switch off the Loot Respawn.
  • Tip: Go into the Central Park – it’s the only green & save Oasis of the Map. πŸ˜‰

Mod-Info

In the Folder “Map-Mods” you will find some alternate Biomes, a “No Trader”-File & a Spawnpoint.xml-File for Coop-Sessions. Use it as you like/need!

Installation

Just put the unpacked Folder “New York Undead II” into your Generated Worlds-Folder:
OS(C:)/User/”YourUserName”/AppData/Roaming/7DaystoDie/GeneratedWorlds

If the Folder “AppData” is not showing up just unhide your “YourUserName”-Folder!
Choose the Map in the Game Menue and Start the Game.

I just lost my second base on this map because when I’m logging out ‘in-door’ my base and I’m trying to log in again, there’s always information “Exception: Incorrect file region header” when I’m dealing with this problem by guides, then I’m logging in again, whole map is set to default and each settled block is removed, except for vehicles. This is just sad

    1. Oh sh… sorry! But this is a known issue since years & can happen on every Map.
      My girlfriend has the same problem very often before she bought a Gaming-Laptop with internal SSD. After that she never had this issue again.
      In my opinion it has something to do with old Harddrives which are too slow to save the Game-Progress.
      Another Tip: If you quit a game give 7D some time to save your progress in the background before starting another App or Game.
      You can also backup your 7D-Savegames from time to time.

    1. Yes. You can replace, add or erase all POIs in the World Editor.
      You can also copy custom POIs into the Prefabs-Folder of the Game.
      After that they are free to use in the World Editor.
      Look for Tutorials in the Web.

    1. First Version was 8k, but was too big & the Framerate went down, Lol.
      6k is the best size for this imo.

  2. what are the actual biomes that the POIs and stuff are on? They key is hard to understand in the pic. Otherwise great map!

  3. I liked ur maps you posted here, though, would you create some asian map? Let’s say, an urban one of Korea or Japan, etc.???

    1. I was thinking about that, but i would like to have many asian POIs on this Map and have no experience adding custom POIs. Maybe i the Future or after releasing the A21 i will try that.

  4. Wow, this is really great. How about REAL bridges in the next version? There are those POIs brigdes that you could propably line up to build a real bridge. Some holes, some fallthrous, some mines, some variation. Close-Combat-Feeling cause of vehicles and stuff like that.

    1. Bridges in 7D cannot be placed in diagonale positions – that’s a big problem making it look authentic imo. So i dropped this idea.

  5. Game crashes with the following:

    NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
    at ChunkProviderGenerateWorldFromRaw

    there’s more, but the website won’t allow me to post it due to its code

    1. That’s just bad luck imo – can happen on every Map. Had a lot of crashes too until i use SSDs or fast USB-Sticks for 7D.

  6. It never finishes loading. I waited for 40 minutes on loading screen and still didn’t load. Is this a ram/memory issue on my end? Also it only shows up on list when go to the world editing and not on the new game menu. Is it supposed to up there? New to modding this game so wasn’t sure.

    1. Seems your System is the Brake. My Girlfriend has the same Loading- & Word Building- Problems until she bought a better Gaming Laptop with internal SSD. And she has 8gb RAM & 4gb Graphic-Ram. Maybe this Infos can help you.
      You also could try to put the Game on an external USB 3.X-Stick with min. 16gb Ram and try to run it from there. Good luck!
