Description
Have you ever wanted to heal your fellow survivors from afar? How about applying strong buffs to help them survive the blood moon horde? Introducing Support Weapons: A mod designed to implement meaningful ways to strengthen you and your friends out in the wasteland. Utilize powerful darts that scale with you to survive as long as possible.
v0.1 adds the following:
- Remote Injection Rifle: A modified pipe rifle that accurately and safely delivers buffs and healing to other survivors. Has no effect on zombies, animals, or NPCs.
- Healing Dart: Delivers healing to other survivors: 5HP instantly and 5HP over time
- Greater Healing Dart: Delivers potent healing to other survivors: 10HP instantly and 10HP over time
- Haste Dart: Boosts the recipients movement speed by 35% and stamina regen by 15% for 4 minutes. Duration can be stacked up to 3 times to 12 minutes.
- Nanomachines Dart: Augments the survivor with nanomachines – +1 Strength, +40 encumbrance slots, 50% melee damage, and 15% run speed for 5 minutes. Duration can be stacked up to 3 times to 15 minutes.
- Dart Crafting Bundles: Craft 10 darts at 80% the normal dart cost.
Dart healing potency is affected by the Physician perk, increasing the amount by 25%, 50%, and 100% on levels 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Additionally, buffs received from darts are affected by ‘Iron Gut’ and the duration can be increased up to 50% longer.
There are more weapons, darts, and buffs to come in future updates! I’m implementing a new philosophy with mod development where I push out updates in waves, with the initial release introducing a unique idea to capture your interest. Plus, it keeps me from getting stuck on scope creep, so it helps us both!
Can it be used with other mods?

Can I use it on an existing save?
- Of course!
Can I use it on an EAC server?
- Sure! It does manipulate the XML code but would not be detected by EAC.

Known Issues:
The initial release utilizes TFP’s healing, which is flawed by nature. I will implement my own in the next full version, v0.2.
Healing darts appear to be scaling inappropriately with ‘Physician’, especially healing over time.
Physician increases the dart potency and healing speed both when shot and received. If both survivors involved have the perk at level 3, the healing will be doubled when shot and double again when received, resulting in 4x the normal healing.
Seemingly at random, darts will heal over 6x the normal amount, despite my attempts to rectify this.
I’ve left this in for the initial release for your feedback, please let me know what you think. Level 3 Physician requires lots of skill points to be exclusively spec’d into Intelligence, which will slot it well into mid-late game.
Healing over time is buggy, allowing for ‘negative’ remaining healing values on the final tick.
