For some reason, the Minty Fresh Tea isn’t showing its proper name, but its tooltip. So in the menu it’s called “A refreshing tea made from Goldenrod Tea and Chrysanthemum, provides a stamina boost, cures infection by 2%, cures dysentery by 20%, aids in efficient digestion by 15%.”

Oh, and the tooltip itself is blank.

Man, I wish I could edit my comment.

At the very bottom of the localization.txt you can change the bottom line from “drinkJarMintyFreshTea” to “drinkJarMintyFreshTeaDesc” and save. that will fix it. If you look at the other items it’ll be clear what you need to do! 😀

That’s strange. I haven’t run into that error. It’s working fine for me and other so far. Are you using any other mods that perhaps modify the images? Like a HD overhaul or anything like that? If not, Could you perhaps check the item icon names, file type, and image size? All you would need to do is open the ItemIconAtlas and select one. The size and such should be displayed in the details pane. Each image should be named the same name as the item as defined in the Items.xml. Also all of the images should be in PNG format. And they should all be exactly 160×160 pixels.

Is this required for both server and client?

Not sure. I believe so. It does not alter vanilla files, it only adds recipes for crafting and item entries. It doesn’t change anything in depth. But so far, I’ve had a group of testers testing it, and it works as is so long as everyone playing on the server has it installed as a modlet. I would imagine with large servers with many players it would probably need to be both client and server side to be completely stable. That nust makes sense to me.

Forgive me for not knowing this stuff before hand. 🙏🏻 I’m a bit new to the modding community and to coding mods in general, this is my first and I’m still learning as I go. But I learned by studying other modders’ work and by studying the vanilla game files and I’m making it a point not to alter too much in light of balanced gameplay. So this mod I created remain somewhat simplistic to install and use for everyone. My next one which is in the works and nearly finished goes way more in depth and so I will likely have to consider server-client ends and improving that as I go.

I wasn’t planning to reveal much yet because it’s probably gonna be a couple weeks before it’s at par to be implementable, but it’s a mod that adds a scientific process to crafting an Antiviral injection as well as several virus variants used in the crafting process. These items are consumable and each one is of a higher tier. They boost stats at the cost of contracting infection, and the antivirus itself gives you immunity and stat boost for an extended duration. It intended to make infection more of an immersive part of the game. Rather than something players should avoid it allows players to use infections as opportunities to craft rare items that offer an ultimate late game boost against large, powerful hordes.

Excellent addition! I increased the meat, potatoes and corn used in the xml to be a little closer to what I consider balanced. Only thing I saw that could use attention is the localization for the mint drink that uses goldenrod tea and chrysanthemum.

I am not sure. I just downloaded Scripts and I’ll review for compatibility. But its like 450MB of code compared to mine at 2.3MB. So, his is certainly far more comprehensive and integrated. It changes a lot of the vanilla game files. If he changed the vanilla ingredients then there may be a problem but i can build a patch. If any of his items have the same names as mine, then that’s also a problem i can adjust in a patch. Ill test it and see.
