More Zombie Spawns

7 days to die more zombie spawns

Description

This mod increases the number of zombies in the game. There are three different versions available that boost zombie spawns by 3x, 5x, and 10x. Choose the one you want and turn your game world into total chaos.

The 10x version might turn everything into a nightmare. You’ve been warned…

You can use this mod together with my More Friendly Animal Spawns and More Enemy Animal Spawns mods.

Since this mod increases zombies everywhere (both in cities and in the wilderness), you don’t need the Deadly Cities mod if you are already using it. However, if you still want to increase the number of zombies in city centers differently from this mod, you can use both together by renaming Deadly Cities with a Zzzz prefix.

What does that have to do with this mod? This mod doesn’t even touch animals at all.

Thank you for your response.

Incidentally, will this mod also increase the number of zombies that appear in quests?

As you yourself mentioned, this issue is caused by another mod you’re using. So there’s nothing I can do about it.

Go to Steam > steamapps > common > 7 days to die > Mods > More Zombie Spawns 10X > Config > spawning.xml. Open with notepad. Now wherever it says maxcount=”10″, change that to maxcount=”20″. There will be many instances for each biome where it says maxcount=”10″, so you’ll have to change a lot of values. Save and then play the game.
As you see it goes past 10 for some biomes, so you could change those too if you want. So instead of maxcount = 10, 10, 20, 30, 30, 30 for the pine forest biome, you could make those 20, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 if you wanted. Will probably impact computer performance, may crash game.

It works good at first but then sometimes when I log on it seems like the spawn is back to normal. Any suggestions?

You’ve most likely cleared out the zombies in your area. After you clear the area, it takes some time for new zombies to spawn. This is completely normal, just like it is in vanilla.

Nothing special is needed. You’ll install this mod just like any other normal mod. https://7daystodiemods.com/how-to-install-7-days-to-die-mods/

If you play the 10X, the desert will have the bee guys like 10 at once all shooting bees hitting you over and over effectively stun locking you all the while it’s adding infection percentage, while 20 other zombies beat you while you’re snailed, giving you sprained legs, bleeding, fatigue, etc. It’s almost unplayable.

I countered my woes in the desert by leveling up more first, then I’d take vitamins and I had the Fortitude Mastery lvl 2: Antibodies perk. It went a lot smoother, and I rushed through the desert badge quest. It’s a lot about just clearing the area, sometimes run around in a big circle to get everyone’s attention because they’ll eventually find me anyways (feral sense on.) I didn’t stay in the desert after that, I went back to the burnt biome and quested there, until I felt I was ready for the snow biome. The new mobs just threw rocks there, they didn’t snail you, so it couldn’t be that bad, right?
Wrong. Sure they only throw rocks and all you have to do is run to the side a bit to dodge them, but what if there’s 20 of them doing it! So you constantly have rocks flying at your face, and the rock throwers take a few hits to take down too, and they gather up on you and are hitting you from all sides as you’re trying to take one down, and you’re getting hit with rocks from the far away ones. I get bleeding, sprained legs, and infection a lot from the hits. To counter this I’ve got Fortitude Master 1: Bleed Stopper (and 2: Antibodies helps too), Pack Mule lvl 5, Pain Tolerance, Siphoning Strikes and Healing Factor. I’m wearing level 6 nomad boots for +20% run speed, running a melee with steel mace. And sometimes when there’s a lot grouped up I just go crazy with the auto shotgun.
I haven’t updated your mod and I don’t think I will. I enjoy my chaos.

I want to reduce the number of zombies generated due to the poor performance of my pc.Is it possible for you to create an optional file that increases the generation of zombies by 0.8?

You can adjust the “maxcount” values to suit your personal preferences.

Doesn’t seem to work for me. Spent several days moving around, regular spawn rates for 10x. Have nothing else that effects spawns. No errors tossed.
