The control is standard. The author tried to make something similar to a helicopter, but it didn’t really work out. By default, the copter can only move forward. The author made it so that one button is responsible for both forward movement and upward movement. Therefore, in order to fly forward and keep altitude, you need to be constantly tilted, about 45 degrees, otherwise you will gain altitude all the time until you hit the ceiling.

Exactly! Same as helicopters in real life 🙂

I understand that you’ve probably never flown in a helicopter in real life. And I flew. And a lot of times. Watch a video on the Internet of how they fly. And they fly straight! Both military and civilian. There is no tilt!

Sorry I guess there’s been a misunderstanding, I’ve flown in both Gyrocopters and Helicopters, the R22 for mustering. Helicopters definitely lean forward, however I can see where you’re coming from! Once they gain enough velocity, you can simply level them out (almost) and they will continue moving forward at a decent pace, however most modern Helicopters have independently articulating primary rotors that will still tilt forward & incredible aerodynamic designs. In an apocalypse where aerodynamic design is a thing of the past, you can probably imagine how inefficient it would be for a helicopter to flatten out during flight with such a poorly thought out design.

The very first video I found demonstrated the tilt.

If you think a bit more forward thrust is needed during flight, by all means edit the mod! If you find a better balance post it up! Any improvements you can make will be welcome.

Same as Gyrocopter— Except W goes up instead of forward now. Use ‘C’ to lean forward which will then cause the Gyro to travel forward, ‘Space’ to lean back, doing the opposite. Leaning/tilting/strafing with the mouse works as well.
