All models were made and textured by me except for the garlic bulb, it was given to us by a modder named “shrader” and my partner gave me the tree bark. I had to make my own leaves for the trees because of a visual issue.
added a new cooking station. “fryer station” with custom animation when crafting food. Along with a disassembly bench to un craft items and a preparation station for cutting fruit.
plants take 45 minutes to grow into maturity then harvest

Installation:
download the file.
Extract the “7 days to die mods” folder.
go into the folders until you see “new food and plants”.
go to your 7 days to die on steam and right click on it.
go to manage then browse local files.
if you don’t have a Mods folder create a folder named “Mods”.
drag and drop the “new food and plants” in the Mods folder.
start the game.
For overhaul modders you’re more than welcome to add this to your overhaul mod with credit.

added new recipes- bowl of chillie, fruit and meat kabobs and a fish on a stick. you get worms from harvesting crops. from the seems of it, it looks to be compatible with 1.4 version of 7 days to die. if you encounter any problems please let me know any feed back is appreciated positive and negative.

I would love to use this mod, but the shaders are bad. I can see distant trees through trees that are close to me. Some of the models, like the beet, are way too big. I think there is a model scale property. The main thing is the shaders for the tress, and the most of the other new plants are really bright compared to vanilla plants. The mod has a lot of promise though!
Hi, thank you for the feed back, I made the plants bright like that so they can stand out for the player to see them but let me know if you would like them to be darkened more. As for the size of the beet ill shrink it to make it not so big. Also the trees ill look into it and see what causing it to do it, I’m also making models and texturing them for the player to hold food recipes like cake and bread.
I see what you meant with the shaders of the trees and the beet and sugar beet being oversized. i noticed the shaders and the brightness were affected and as seen when the graphics are set to low settings but are fine in higher graphic settings. by chance are you playing in lower graphics?
disassembly bench are too op, not that good if multiplayer with people, they can abusing to get Duke Coin so easy, 1 bullet needed to assembly worth for 240-270 each, i think you need to reduce the price make it the same as original 1 bullet, also please add more food/drink to make, there’s alot of new plants but sadly atm now only can make 2 smoothies, others like no use at all.
thank you for your feed back I appreciate it the explanation and I understand what your saying about the disassembly station, what recipes would you recommend that should be removed and stay in the station or it should be removed overall? as for more food recipes it will be added but my CPU in my computer is dying and saving up to get a new one so I can make models to create food for the player to hold. I can barely open up blender and my unity projects without them buffering let alone crashing.
for now i do some change for the material to craft disassembly ammo bundle, i couldn’t find the pricing code so i just divided the price, i change it to 60 ammo for 1 bundle to make the price fair (same price with/without crafting the bundle).
i feel you bro, i also have my CPU broken 3 months ago XD.
if possible maybe can add dough since we have wheat already, so we can make more cake to cook, the ingredients can be dough, egg, water and fruits (depends which flavour we want to make).
and somehow when i removed your mod i start the game was fine, then putting it back (with the changed i did). my house half disappeared, it turn back into cliff. i was digging there to make house and it turn into cliff full of dirt again and made half of my house disappeared.

the ammo bundle price is fixed, I saw what you meant with the ammo bundle price being 180 coin.
Does this mod require a new save for the crops and trees to spawn?
yes I do believe so, when I would test the trees and plants, it would have to be a different world load in the trees and plants, once you load up your new world and you see the fruit trees and plants your good to go.

Hey just wanted to give you a heads up about the strawberries in this mod. For whatever reason when they’re planted and then fully mature in farm plots it will kill your FPS. Like we are talking a huge hit in FPS lol. You cant even look at them which makes picking them really hard. I had to remove the mod for now until it can be fixed but i hope to be able to run it in the future with some recipes for the plants added. Thank you and keep up the good work!

yes you can most likely use this mod in other overhauls, but some may not work because since this mod does have carrots in it so does darkness falls for example. but if you are going to try it out with this mod and a overhaul I would do a test world to see if the mods are compatible from one another just to be safe. my partner and i will test this to see if it works properly if needed. you should try it too in a new test world just so we can see if it works on your end too.

Hi, When i first tried this mod it work perfect because i was playing a no trader challenge. Now that I started a new challenge, this time with traders, i realize that the mod conflicts with the ability to talk with traders. My game has 90 mods, so your mod might be conflicting with other mods, the thing is that the moment i remove your mod, i can talk to traders without any issue. Same happened to my brother on his playthrough. He went more in dept checking mod by mod until he got to yours and then everything worked properly after removing it.
Does this mod touches traders in any way? You can access trade by holding E, but you dont get the options to get quests.
My guess is that because the food have no price value, they probably try to populate on the trader, but they dont and thats what might be causing the conflict. The strange part is that no error is populated on the console or logs. I am also in no way a mod expert, my knowledge is very limited, so I know that you guys work really hard on your mod.
Just wanted to point it out in case you guys can troubleshoot it or in case someone is having the same issue and they can elaborate better than me of what the problem might be.

nvm about the not being able to access it, I noticed the hitbox is on the top of the station and since I was crouching and the station was one block higher than me that was the reason I was unable to access it.
Also noticed i cant access the station at all

I noticed a problem with fryer station, not sure if is intended or a mod conflict, but when I craft 1, it craft 5 for the cost of one station. So basically you can craft and scrap and you get almost 4 times more metal than what you use to start the craft.
i noticed that when i looked through the xml i already corrected it just need to fix some other things, thank you for the feed back

One suggestion can be to allow “pick up harvest” where we can gather the food by clicking E. The hit box is soo small at the moment, that harvesting by tools is annoying.

I really love the mod, but I think you should lower the health, food and water received by the fruits and veggies. With this mod I don’t even need to get water, cook or even use bandages because the fruit and veggies are a bit OP in my opinion.
For example, a watermelon gives 20 water, around 5 health and 5 food, Murky water gives around 15 water and normal water gives around 20 water. A watermelon plant gives around 3 or 5 watermelons. Not sure if it’s your mod or another mod, but plants spawn int he wild, which i really love, but since they are so OP atm, it makes it more efficient to harvest the plants than building a dew collector or even cooking anything vanilla or moded.
Other thing i noticed is the hit box of the plants, wild ones and planted ones. The hit box is so small that you have a hard time trying to harvest them and end up damaging the plots or terrain, even when you can see the plants name sometimes the hit box is not there.
My suggestion is, lower the food, water and health received by the ingredients. I understand watermelon are a good source of water, but for balance purposes it shouldn’t give more water than murky water maybe making it gives around 5 water could be better since you get at least 3 from a plant. That way drinking actual water or drinks will be better than just eating a single watermelon.
Same for the amount of health given. Since they are ingredients and not a cooked meal, I think no more than 2 health per ingredient should be balanced, that way you will need to use bandages and healing items instead of eating a few ingredients.
About the food, the same thing, make it gives around the same amount of vanilla ingredients, so cooking will be actually a better source of food than the raw ingredients. That way when you add actual cooking to the mod, you won’t need to add OP food to compensate for the ingredients.
This is just my humble opinion, no intentions on be rude or disrespectful.
I love your mod and how the plants look in the game and the fact that plants spawns int he wild, a beautiful touch.
