Description
This mod aims to change up the feel of zombies while keeping it serverside, here’s some of the features the mod offers,
Nerfed AI tasks & targeting
Zombies are slower to recognize and pursue threats.
They sometimes attack random animals, corpses or even each other, instead of always locking onto the player.
They get “distracted” more often and make poor pathing choices.
Reduced sensory awareness overall, they’re way less hyper focused and more random with their limited attention span.
Throwable rocks are now way more useful even during combat at distracting zombies.
Hearing range, feral sense, and pathfinding costs are scaled down.
Sight thresholds are relaxed, meaning zombies don’t instantly laser-lock on you in the dark.
Sleepers take more noise or light to wake up. (POI triggers still ignore this)
Clumsy behavior when walking, running, attacking and falling.
Zombies legs are now a more valid target overall, rather than being akin to weightlifters.
Zombies have a higher chance to stumble, ragdoll, or fumble when attacking blocks.
Some will randomly trip when running or walking. (higher if running)
Fall impacts can knock them off balance more often.
Slower, less aggressive attack patterns.
Daytime attack cooldowns are longer (zombies swing less often).
Nighttime attacks are still faster, but not as relentless as vanilla.
Biker zombies get special tweaks: lower pain resistance and damage resist, and slightly slower agro speed.
There’s a lot going on behind the scenes but the overall job of the mod is to make zombies feel more like zombies and less predictable.
Do I need to restart to use this mod?
No, but always make a backup. (this mod mostly targets the zombieTemplateMale, so if you’ve a mod that also targets that template it might cause issues)
Who needs to install this?
Only the Host.
As always if you enjoy my mods please leave them some love it means a lot, and with all that being said I hope you enjoy it.
