4thera’s Armor Set Archetypes Overhaul

7 days to die 4theras armor set archetypes overhaul

Description

This mod Adds over 30 new set bonuses to the game. Each set bonus requires 2 pieces of armor from the same armor category to activate. Ex: 2 worn pieces of Lumberjack w/ 2 worn pieces of Rogue would activate the Eagle Scout set, while 2 worn pieces of Lumberjack set w/ 2 worn pieces of Assassin would do nothing due to them not being the same armor category. A full List of armor sets can be found below.

Armor crafting in this mod has be completely reworked. Armored Up magazines still exist however reading these will instead increase your base max health instead of your armor crafting ability. You will now be able to buy a perk which unlock crafting of your armor type, Light medium or Heavy at level 10,20, 40, 60, 80 and 100, for quality 1-6 armors.

The crafting recipes have been altered as well after quality 2 each armor piece will require a special crafting kit, which uses thematic ingredients and armor badges to make.
These armor badges are for each base set such as a farmer badge or biker badge, and can only be gained through killing zombies while wear a mixed set. Ex: while wearing the Eagle Scout set which has lumberjack and rogue pieces you will have a chance to gain Lumberjack and Rogue badges.

ALL sets abilities are dependent on the quality of your lowest quality worn armor! This means to get abilities bonuses for having quality 5 gear, each piece will need to be quality 5, if its not it use the lowest quality of gear worn to determine your set bonus.

The buffs that these sets provide can be powerful for both combat, crafting and harvesting, it is recommended to use higher difficulty settings or mods alongside this.

This mod also contain some other minor edits including visible enemy health bars and additional bullet penetration on targets.

This is my first mod, so please let me know if you run into any issues or unforgivable balancing! This mod should be be compatible with any that doesnt outright remove the base games armor sets, or change armor progression. (I know for sure it works with Undead Country, and IZ gun mods)

Light Armor

  • Liquidator Set (Lumberjack + Enforcer) A professional asset remover who excels at targeted takedowns. This set encourages a unique playstyle by reducing your headshot damage by 50% but massively rewarding you for targeting and dismembering limbs with an axe. • Nature Freak Set (Lumberjack + Preacher) Become one with the wilderness. This set grants different passive bonuses based on the biome you are in: increased run speed in the forest, reduced water drain in the desert, and more effective food in the plains. Your power attack becomes a Primal Lunge when ready, a long-range strike with up to +200% bonus damage that has a scaling cooldown.

The set also provides scaling bonuses to weapon handling, magazine size for archery weapons, and the amount of resources gained from butchering animals.
  • Martial Artist Set (Athletic + Lumberjack) Your body is a lethal weapon. This set turns you into an unarmed brawler, but your base unarmed damage is reduced (from -60% at Q1 to no penalty at Q6). You also gain up to 75% damage resistance while aiming down sights with a pistol and a minor run speed bonus when wielding melee weapons.
