This mod adds several plumbed in water fixtures. Unlike the dew collector these fixtures provide murky water, fresh water and even pure mineral water without waiting, just open the tap and get as much fresh water as you want, in the same way you would do with any modern sink.
Craftable in the workbench as a Variant Helper, you need to learn “Plumbing”, which unlocks at Workstations level 15 for the basic features, and level 25 and 50 for more advanced features, making this a mid-game feature (The UNLOCKED version of the mod has no level requirement).
The Plumbed In Water Fixtures are unlocked at level 15 in workstations skill. This basic version can provide unlimited Murky Water, but nothing else. It does not require a water filter to work.
At level 25 workstations skill you will unlock the recipe for an “Industrial Water Filter“. This is a mod or add-on for your Plumbed In Water Fixtures to also provide Fresh Clean Water. It requires a standard water filter to craft, which you can buy from the trader.
If you want to go one step further into fanciness, at level 50 workstations skill you unlock a recipe for a “Water Ionizer“. This is a mod or add-on for your Plumbed In Water Fixtures to also provide Pure Mineral Water. You still need to learn first how mineral water is made, like you would in vanilla game (Wasteland Treasures volume 4) 😋.
In the UNLOCKED version you do not need any levels in workstations skill to unlock the recipes, everything is unlocked from the beginning.
The water fixtures are both decorative and functional, several different models for you to choose, even separate faucets so you can create your own custom sink in your own personal style. They do not generate heat when used.
You can pick them up again by holding “E” (you will get that same fixture back) or using a salvage tool (you will get the Variant Helper instead).
Like all LittleRedSonja’s other mods so far, this mod is “Server-side-only friendly” (if you play multiplayer the mod only need to be installed in the server, if you play single player install the mod as usual).
After version 1.1.2 the mod should be compatible with any other mod except mods that “nuke” the workstations progression skill tree. It should be 100% compatible though with any mod that adds or edit it in a less “explosive” way 🙂. Thank you Genavimex for the help to improve the code 😘.
She hope you enjoy the mod, and if you find issues or have suggestions let her know 💜
Frequently Asked Questions
1- Is your mod compatible with X, Y or Z mod? : Yes, as far as she know her mod is compatible with every other single mod for 7DTD, including of course all her other mods, and other popular mods such as “GNS Beautiful bases” or “Sams Working Stuff”. Anyway, if you experience incompatibility issues with other mods use the “UNLOCKED” version of the mod. This should not be an issue after version 1.1.2 of the mod, but if you find a mod that is incompatible with hers please let her know and she will see if a compatibility patch can be made.
2- What version of the mod should I use?: She has included 2 versions of the mod. USE ONLY ONE OF THEM:
Standard version (LittleRedSonja_PlumbedWaterSolutions): You need workstations crafting skills level 15 to unlock the recipe to craft the basic plumbed water features, and successive improvements require level 25 and finally level 50.
Unlocked version (LittleRedSonja_PlumbedWaterSolutions_UNLOCKED): The recipes are already unlocked, you do not need levels in any crafting skill. This version is specially useful for people that want to use the plumbed water fixtures earlier in the game or people experiencing incompatibility issues with other mods. In those cases, it is better to use this version to guarantee full compatibility and error-free gameplay.
Other than that both versions include the same features and the gameplay is the same.
3- Can the mod be used server side only?: Yes, the mod can be used both server side only (so if the server where you play have it installed you do not need to install it yourself) or client side (if you play solo instead of multiplayer then you install the mod as usual).
4- Why is this not included in “Fancy Home Deco?”: Since this mod include a feature (free unlimited easy fresh water) that can change game balance mid-late game there might be players or servers that do not want to include it. That is why she release it as a separate feature, but it is totally compatible and integrated with her other mods.
Changelog
UPDATE 1.3.2
- Fixed a problem where the localized texts were not working in some servers, for multiplayer. If you were playing on a server and you were seeing ugly code names for the fixtures and items instead of the nice names and descriptions, this update is relevant for you. Thank you very much to stealthcold for the big help finding the problem.
A very tiny update, only bug fixing. You only need to update the mod if you were experiencing the problem with the localized texts not showing up, otherwise you can wait for the next update 💜.
UPDATE 1.3.1
- Fixed the buckets of water obtained in the plumbed fixtures not working as intended. Now they will.
A small update to fix an issue where the buckets of water obtained in the plumbed solutions fixtures would not work like the vanilla buckets. It has taken her quite some time to fix this because the game does some obscure “behind the scene” stuff to make the buckets of water work as they do but it is finally working 😅.
Thank you Khaine, RizzoMF, Thee_Legion and HellsJanitor for helping her uncover the “Mystery of the Bucket of Water” 😄
She hope you all enjoy the mod and if you find any other issues or have suggestions please let her know. 💜
UPDATE 1.3.0
- Now you can fill empty buckets to get buckets of water in any plumbed in water fixture. This can come handy if you want to make a pond or fountain, or if you are using mods that add buckets of water as crafting ingredient.
- Added a “Soda Fountain” variant as plumbed in water fixture.
- Added 8 new color variants to the water dispenser as plumbed in water fixtures, in vivid nice colors.
- Code optimization, removed some redundant code, removed some remaining dependencies on vanilla items to further improve compatibility with other mods and big overhauls.
- Small fixes: You no longer get 2 water fixtures when destroying a water fixture with high level “salvage operations”. Mod items no longer look “red” when in toolbelt.
- Changed the color of mod icons to a nice purple-pink color, that LittleRedSonja hope will be easier to see for color blind people.
She hope you like the update, and let her know if you find issues or have suggestions 💜

Hello I found a bug while using this mod.
There is an error that boiled water and pure mineral water do not appear in the list when used mode together above link.
And if i produce a bucket of river water, that bucket can’t be poured into the ground or held water.
Can you please solve this problem?
I will also attach the screenshot link of the issue that is not exposed to the list.
Thank you.

Hi!
The problem with the bucket of water I have fixed today in version 1.3.1 🥰
The problem with vanilla extended gourmet and similar mods is not a bug in my mod, but a known issue with those other mods, because they delete every single “food” or “drink” recipe in the game, both vanilla or from mods that are loaded BEFORE them, to add their own…
Fortunately the fix is quite simple. The game loads mods in alphabetical order. Just rename my mods folder to something like z_LittleRedSonja_PlumbedInWaterSolutions, so my mod will load AFTER the other ones, and add the necessary things to the game files.
I hope you enjoy the mod and let me know if you have suggestions or find issues 💜
does not seem to work. could not find any craftable working water supplies
Hi! The mod works perfectly fine and without issues. If you do not see the water fixtures in the crafting list the only explanations are:
1- The items are there but you have not seen them. Just to make sure this is not the case type “Sonja” without quotations in the search box in workbench or inventory. If you do not see the water fixtures go to step 2.
2- You have not properly installed the mod. Install it the same way you install any other mod: Be sure to place mod folder insides your mods folder. Be sure it is not deep inside other folders or sub folders (this can happen sometimes when unzipping files depending on what software you use). The right folder contains the “modinfo.xml”.
Those are the only 2 possible reasons. If you anyway cannot fix it let me know and link a picture of your mods folder structure where I can see where the modinfo.xml file is located and I will help you 😊
im finding that with the skill required version of the mod, no skill book requirement appears under the items just a – out of – required and as such the items not unlockable
Hi! Could you add a link to a screenshot so I can see what you mean? If you have not the required level to craft an item it should show it as “locked” and then the skill level required. The only possible explanation I can think of is if you are using another mod that literally “nukes” the workstation crafting skill tree, which is pretty bad and absolutely unnecessary. In any case please add a link to a screenshot, so I can take a look and see what you mean 😊.
Thank you! 💜
Hello, I had the same symptoms here.
It was caused by another mod I put in at the same time.
The mod I put in is HD Forge.
I removed HD Forge and now it works fine.
https://7daystodiemods.com/hd-forge/
Thank you! Yes, that is the problem with poorly coded mods, a common source of mod incompatibilities and problems. In this particular case the first thing HD Forge (and similar mods) do is COMPLETELY DELETE the whole workstations crafting skill tree, for ZERO reasons. That makes it incompatible with any other single mod that adds or edits anything in that skill tree. There is no reason for this, since the same result could be accomplished with a better code. In any case, the easiest solution for this is to force HD Forge (and similar offending mods) to load earlier, so they do their thing first, and then other mods load after it and fix the mess. To do that just rename the mod folder to 1_War3zuk HD Forge (meaning add a 1_ before folder name). That make the mod to load first, so you can keep using it together with my mod and other better coded mods without issues.
Fixed, thank you for reporting it! 💜
Update 1.1.1:
– Small fix so that recipe will unlock even when the mod installs after the player reaches level 35 in workstations crafting skill. Someday I will learn how to type properly and will stop making these mistakes 🙂
Hi! Thank you for reporting this! Kind of unexpected, i am looking into it. In the meanwhile you can use the “UNLOCKED” version of the mod, it has the same features but it has no required level in crafting skills to unlock the recipe.
I already have 75/75 workstation magazines on my server before I added this mod and the recipe to make the Variant Helper is still locked for me. I can craft the water pump but even with reading another forge ahead magazine it still showed locked. Just throwing it out there.
Hey, i installed this mod when I am already 75/75 for the workstation magazines but its not unlocking the recipe. I even tried to read a forge ahead mag to see if it will unlock it and still locked, just putting it out there. Still a good mod thank for it, wife loves it.
