I love 7d2d and have always wanted to learn to mod so here is my first project. It is a craftable generator with 4500 watts of power and 10k fuel capacity. I have also made it more fuel efficient so we can spend more time looting and wasting zombs. The model is from the POI night quests small model to conserve space. Enjoy all.

but is there a way to fix the gen where when its off it doesnt sound like it running sometimes it get confusing thinking it on when its off
Thank you and good luck with your future modding.
hello I understand how I’m supposed to update it the mods don’t work!!!!
2023-07-22T12:23:03 1.659 WRN [MODS] MDAdvancedGenerator/ModInfo.xml in legacy format. Please consider upgrading to V2 for future compatibility.
@zello67
The modinfo.xml has nothing to do with the actual function of the mod. I am using the same modinfo.xml format that everyone uses and it as the name implies is just a file to give you info about the mod. All of the code that actually does something is in the config folder. In other words NOTHING needs updating unless I push an update to the code which I will not be doing anytime soon.
Ist der mod serverside oder auch clint ???
@ Black
Both should be fine. I have tested in single player without issue so it should be safe for server install. I always do a backup save in case things go wrong of course 🙂
The mod uses vanilla assets by the way so clients should not have to install. Only needs to be installed on server.
Also since the generator is a POI model, it appears and sounds like it is running as soon as it is placed as well as when it has no fuel. It doesn’t produce power however without engines and fuel. I believe this is built into the vanilla model itself so I probably won’t change it.
