Random Blood Moon Mod
Description:
This mod randomizes the frequency of the Blood Moon in 7 Days to Die. Instead of manually setting the Blood Moon frequency, this mod dynamically changes the interval, making the game more unpredictable and challenging. Each time you play, the Blood Moon may occur at a different interval, with a maximum of 7 days apart.
Features:
Randomized Blood Moon frequency: The interval between Blood Moons is randomly determined, making survival more intense.
How to Install:
- Download and unzip the mod.
- Place the mod folder into your
Mods
folder located in the game’s directory. - Restart the game to apply the mod.
Notes:
Always back up your game before installing any mods, as modding may cause unexpected issues.
Changelog
- (NEW) Upgraded to coincide with the major 7Days to Die update.
- Fixed an issue where BloodMoon were occurring daily instead of randomly as intended.

DO NOT USE ON 1.2 UNTIL UPDATED. My friend and I had been using this and now instead of setting the blood moon random times… it set our game time to 24 HOURS IN 5 MINUTES.
Really enjoyed the mod prior to this, but damn was that a jump scare.
Is the blood moon sapposed to be every night? I’ve had 3 in a row, it’s been brutal.
Does the frequency change if your on for a long stint in one play through, or only when you reload your save?
This mod is simply unnecessary. You can modify the blood moon settings in the configuration file to be random.
Not everyone wants to edit game files. That’s what mods are for.
By your logic, we could label almost all of the mods as “simply unnecessary”.
thank you for your work, it doesnt work 🙁
Presumably only needed server-side, correct?
