After playing for a while i noticed that, despite the developers and the game encouraging it, most full armor sets are simply not worth picking over wearing the best pieces of armor available from every type.
This mod aims to improve ALL of the full armor sets bonuses. Values for tier 1-5 armors have been increased, i won’t specify them, just know that they are better and will overall improve your gaming experience.
Vanilla values for tier 6 full sets of armors have been massively buffed.
Tier 6 full sets of armors now gain unique abilities!
The Descriptions have been added! Supported language: English

Some armor sets might receive further changes if i’m not happy with their bonuses or upon request, i did my best to make every single one unique.
List of unique skills at tier 6 full armor sets:
-Lumberjack Armor:
100% extra entity/block damage with axes
30% stamina regeneration for running/jumping when inside the snow biome
No encumbrance when inside the snow biome
10% faster movement speed in the snow biome
500% more dismember chance and damage when using chainsaws
60% more reload speed and damage with hunting rifles
Gain +70 trader/loot stage in the snow biome
-Preacher armor:
When below 40% health, have a 25% chance to restore full health upon getting damaged by an enemy, no cooldown. It doesn’t remove negative buffs so keep those bandages and casts at hand.
Gain 10% movement speed, no encumbrance and 10% stamina regeneration in the burnt forest biome.
Remove health regeneration from radiated zombies when hitting them.
Enemies that hit you have a 60% chance of being set on fire
Deal 600% more melee damage when you’re bleeding
Gain +50 trader/loot stage in the burnt forest biome
-Rogue armor:
Find 100% more lockpicks in loot
Find 1000% more gems in loot
Deal 500% more damage to safes and doors
50% more damage and 30% faster attack speed with knives.
Gain 30% movement speed, 100% crouch speed and 25% stamina regeneration at night. Gain 50% Crouch speed during the day.
Gain 30% better bartering
Gain 60% more damage and reload speed with mag fed 9mm pistols
-Athletic armor:
25% stamina regeneration when running and jumping
25% less stamina loss when running and jumping
20% faster movement speed
1m jump height bonus
Gain no encumbrance in the pine forest biome.
30% attack speed with clubs
50% damage with clubs
Gain 40 trader/loot stage in the pine forest biome
-Enforcer armor:
60% faster reload speed with all pistols and smgs
50% more damage with all pistols and smgs
50% faster rate of fire with all pistols and smgs
2% ADS accuracy with revolvers
25% better recoil control with revolvers
90% faster spread recovery with revolvers
Weapons equipped with a suppressor will grant 50% extra exp gain on kill and deal 120% bonus sneak damage
-Farmer armor:
50% more damage with pump shotguns
50% faster rate of fire with pump shotguns
50% bonus damage to animals and zombie animals
50% more damage and 30% faster attack speed with Spears.
Harvest 60% + 10 raw bonus crops
Gain 60% attack speed with knives for an easier crop harvesting
Vehicles take 66% less damage and deal 300% more damage to entities and blocks
Vehicles use 50% less fuel and have 15% more speed and torque
-Biker armor:
50% more damage with double barrel shotguns
80% faster reload speed with double barrel shotguns
50% more explosive damage
50% more damage and 30% faster attack speed with Brawling weapons.
Vehicles take 99% less damage and deal 600% more damage to entities and blocks
Vehicles have 30% more speed and torque
-Scavenger armor:
adds 15% extra chances of loot bags dropping from zombies when killed
find 100% more ammo in loot
50% more damage with sniper rifles
60% faster reload speed with sniper rifles
2% ADS spread with sniper rifles
25% better recoil control with sniper rifles
90% faster spread recovery with sniper rifles
Earn 30% more exp when killing an enemy with sniper rifles
Find 50% more loot in general
-Ranger armor:
50% more damage with revolvers and lever action rifles
40% more magazine size with revolvers and lever action rifles
50% faster rate of fire with revolvers and lever action rifles
60% faster reload speed with revolvers and lever action rifles

90% faster spread recovery with revolvers and lever action rifles
Gain movement speed, no encumbrance and stamina regeneration in the desert biome.
Gain 60 trader/loot stage in the desert biome
-Commando armor:
50% faster reload speed with LMGs, assault rifles, auto shotguns and 9mm weapons
50% faster rate of fire with LMGs, assault rifles, pump/auto shotguns and 9mm weapons
2% ADS accuracy with LMGs, assault rifles and 9mm weapons
25% recoil control with LMGs, assault rifles, auto shotguns and 9mm weapons

When inside a building, gain 25% stamina regeneration, 20% run speed, 30% walk speed and 10% reload speed
-Assassin armor:
0% noise when running or jumping
2m bonus jump height
running or walking on trash piles won’t make any noise
Load 6 arrows at once and fire them in quick succession with crossbows
Deal 120 more headshot damage and have 60% chance to knockdown a zombie on headshot with bows
25 velocity added to archery ammo
reload archery weapons 50% faster
draw bows 50% faster
50% faster spread recovery
50% better hipfire accuracy
50% better ADS accuracy
-Miner armor:
40% damage resistance against falling debris
100% extra block damage with mining tools
100% extra exp gain when mining minerals
50% more damage and 30% faster attack speed with sledgehammers
500% more damage and dismember chance with augers.
Deal 600% more explosive damage to blocks
Lose 30%/15% less stamina when using mining tools/sledgehammers respectively.
-Nomad armor:
200% resistance against toxic and radioactive damage
50% stamina regeneration when in the Wasteland biome
no encumbrance when in the Wasteland biome
20% faster movement speed when in the Wasteland biome
35% more damage and 35% attack speed with any melee weapon when in the Wasteland biome
35% more damage and reload speed with any firearm or bow when in the Wasteland biome
+80 loot stage and +80 trader stage when in the Wasteland biome
-Nerd Armor
Enemies that hit you will be electrocuted for 1 second
30% faster crafting time
30% more exp gain
Ranged and melee junk turrets now deal 50% more damage
Ranged junk turrets shoot 100% faster
Melee junk turrets attack 25% faster
Ranged junk turrets gain 25 mag size
Gain +12m active range for junk turrets
-Raider Armor:
30% less chance to get a broken limb
Gain 5 health points when killing an enemy with a melee weapon
Slowly regenerate health when under 60% HP
Gain 60% attack speed with any melee weapon
All these effects are doubled when under 30% HP
30% less food loss when regenerating health

To include all biomes simply delete that entire line. You can do whatever you want, it’s your game save.

i cant get it working in game v1.3 Better full armorset bonuses 1-6 it just dont work pls help
Works just fine for me, i can’t really help you without context. The only thing i can think of is the installation process, make sure to extract the folder into your mods folder, if you just shove the zip file in it, it will simply not work.
This mod really helps me out alot. I only like to play hardcore 1 life/perma-death and set everything to nightmare, in a zombie apoc it should be dangerous/deadly. I have other mods that spawn ferals/bosses on day 1. These armour bonuses are a great help to my play settings, Thank you. To the people who say that these armour sets are too OP, TRY and play the game with only 1 life/Perma Death and set all ferals/zombies/bosses to nightmare, trust me you will not cry about being to powerful and OP.

So, if I understand correctly from the description, with this mod the only armor sets I will ever use are:
1) Commando, for early game and all horde nights
2) Nomad late gamee for wastland raids.
3) Resource Gathering sets.

Question: does your Commando set work also with 45 ACP and 5.56 from Izy (since you are a tester of Izy mod I’m assuming yes)?
it should definitely work if Izayo’s weapons have the same tags as the vanilla armor, it should but i’m not sure. Yes i am a tester for Izy’s mod but that doesn’t mean much lol

Would be too easy for perception perk, there’s a reason why certain armors have certain advantages.
one other question, what is the difference between the 2 files? The Bonuses and the Bonuses 1-6?
1-6 means that you get the buff on all armor tiers
Tier 6 only means you get the buff only on tier 6 armors.
I think the Nomad ‘no encumberance in wasteland’ should be changed to something else. It is kinda useless when there is a book that does the same thing. Maybe add a Damage mitigation bonus instead? Thanks on the nerd bonus of crafting time! My gods why didn’t TFPs do this themselves?!

I already told you that “the book” you’re talking about isn’t a book. It’s the bonus you get after you have read all the 7 firefighter books, which can be either found in firetrucks, or by leveling up “well insulated” which nobody does and firetrucks are incredibly rare to find. And i’m sure you know how tedious looting perk books is. Also, my bonus for nomad works with mods that increase backpack size while the vanilla bonus doesn’t.
Love this mod, but Nomad feels too OP. no reason for me to have anything else when I get to wasteland
Nomad armor is mostly designed for Wasteland only playthroughs, then again it’s fair if you plan on crafting different armors for different biomes, if you leave Wasteland, nomad provides nothing as a bonus.
I personally dislike swapping armors. doing a no crafting run and just got to wasteland. I just find it a bit annoying that the nomad armour gives all weapon buffs and renders all other armours close to useless so I got to respec from medium to heavy.
Nomad armor only gives bonuses to weapon damage, but other armors specialize in specific weapons, granting reload speed or movement speed. Commando armor is a lot more superior than Nomad in this aspect. Then again Wasteland is the hardest biome to survive in.

60% more damage and 60% attack speed with any melee weapon when in the Wasteland biome
60% more damage and reload speed with any firearm or bow when in the Wasteland biome

All these lines is better than most gears on they own.
It gives you the highest runspeed, highest dmg and attack speed, highest reload speed for late game weapons except 2 classes that are very specific.
I think it would be a better mod if you could keep the same armour through all zones as you don’t have to change the style you want to have going through the game.
A lot of these armors become almost useless when you move on to another zone too.
Remember that it’s heavy armor. If you don’t start putting points into strength, those bonuses will be heavily mitigated by the armor itself.
I personally don’t feel like going to different biomes makes other armors useless.
Also remember those values in the description are for tier 6 armor, you’re not going to have them right away. It’s high on purpose because armor became much harder to craft.
There are some armors in the vanilla game that no one will ever pick (like farmer, farming is too slow and tedious). I did my best to improve all of them, and some players were complaining about Nomad armor not being good enough for the hardest biome in the game, so i significantly improved it. The thing with this armor is that if you leave the biome, it gives you nothing. If you decide to live in the Wasteland, you can feel safer with this armor, but this doesn’t mean that other armors are useless, they just fit different play stiles. There is only 1 armor type getting a bonus from each biome.
Certain weapons are unusable without significant improvements to their spread, and if you use a weapon with nomad armor you will deal a lot of damage but your accuracy will suffer.
And yep, after checking nomad only gets like 10% more damage than other armors, the only thing i could reduce is the attack speed for melee weapons
Yo. I just wanted to post that I’ve been playing 7DTD with pretty much all of your tweaks at once and it’s been a blast. Even been doing Insane Nightmare for a grand ol’ time. Thanks for the hard work man, everytime I figure an issue out there’s already a fix waiting.
This +Izayo’s weapon stuff is a great experience, that said quick question with Izy’s .45ACP weapons, would they possibly come under 9MM for Commando? Or is the boosting from Commando affecting the ammo type rather than the weapon tree?
Actually decided to be useful and test it myself instead of asking dumb questions, yeah! It looks like the Commando Armor affects all of Izayo V2.2 .45ACP weapons. Neato!
yes, porbably because the .45ACP extends to the 9mm ammo which gets bonus damage from Commando armor

I am using the tier 1-6 version. The miner armor is not working for me. I crafted all level 6 armor but when I put it all on it does not show the armor bonus. Assassin and Commando work great. Those are the only ones I’ve tried so far. Thanks for the great mod.
try re-downloading the mod pls, i just uploaded the version i’m using and i know for a fact that for me it works.
If it still doesn’t work, then it might be conflicting with something
I redownloaded it and tried again but had the same issue. But also got an error while loading the game. I removed a line from the buffs.xml file that referenced Explosion.RadiusBlocks, which was in the error. Now it works great.

At least, they should work, the bonuses are based on weapon tags, some of these tags were added in update 1.0 so i don’t know if Izayo’s guns also have them, hopefully though they do.

Also be very careful to always have the minimum of 3 arrows to load if not you might corrupt your world.

It has nothing to do with the tier of the crossbow.
Are you using the tier 1-6 or the tier 6 only?
Are all the armor pieces tier 6?
And as the other guy said, you also need to have enough bolts in your inventory.

Quite funny I was testing the sets and was about to write the athletic set needs a bit of love and the nerd one needs a nerf a little but you changed em already. Also was wondering about nomad but you changed it also so will give it another go
Also for the lumber one I was wondering… The chainsaw is nice but the sound gets annoying so fast so was wondering if you could buff the use of steel axe or w/e more over the chainsaw…also guess the auger would be annoying over time as well.
There’s mod that make both the auger and the Chaisnaw completely silent, that’s the solution right there!

first of all me and 3 other friends are loving these sets, feels nice to go for a full armor set piece than just the typical broken set.
I’ve wanted to learn to do some modding to change the set pieces myself or at least make em 2/4 3/4 and 4/4 giving way better set bonuses than the ones currently made from the fun pimps but you kinda made em nice and unique.
I like theory crafting new ideas of how to make a build with your sets and also the better perks haha.
Currently trying a full brawler type but the only armor im aimed toward is the raider armor since its the only one affecting the knuckles (attack speed) other than the biker which is just 50% dmg and 30% attack speed, the other ones being shotgun which isnt really in the same line of brawling/melee type thing.
I was also wondering about a build using a harvesting tool, maybe that 2h steel axe, could be nice to see someone with a 2h axe just slashing through haha but then again I would have to use the raider set again making that axe swing 100% faster unless its not considered a melee weapon… then lumber jack but 100% block dmg isnt counted toward physical dmg? Im too new still but would test it and see if its fun
I was also wondering if you were meddling with the idea of making the armor be upgradable, like assassin needing lets say 2 piece of assassin chest with x number of mats (not something too easy, like make em 5 or 10 legendary parts) to make the chest nightstalker or w/e the new name and further increasing or gaining new stats/bonuses.
To me that would give ppl even more meaning to go farm for “better loot” and new build ideas

Remember that each armor piece also gives you bonuses. Raider gloves give you damage bonus to all melee weapons.
Yes axes get 100% damage bonus to entities as well and is considered as melee weapon.
Same goes for pickaxes.
As far as your upgrades idea that’s not something i plan in adding as it would just not be vanilla anymore at that point.

@smite05 unfortunately, due to how the addition of active turrets is code, i cannot add extra turrets via buffs or via requirements. This simply means that this specific bonus does not work and will not work unless developers change it. I will think of a new improvement to replace it with.

You can remove it yourself from the xml file

There was no way for me to show all the values on the armor, though, you can find more information on the description under your full armor bonus
I was just a dumby and wasn’t wearing a full set – I did have a question though, for the 1-6, how does the armor take the value? like.. if i have level 1 head piece, level 3 chest, 2 hands and feet of a full set.. will it give me the bonus as if i were level 1? or level 3? or some combination of that?

Why are there no increases in farm efficacy type set bonuses for the farmer set like with the miner set?
Because farmer armor already get those from the singular armor pieces, though farmer armor still needs some improvements so I’ll maybe add more farming related bonuses.
I encountered an issue on a dedicated 1.0 server, where I had 2 arrows remaining, and the assassin set reloaded 3. This put my arrow count at “-1 / 0” and since that point I haven’t been able to load back into the server.
(1.0 Server running only two mods – your armour set mod and perk mod).
oh damn that is a big issue, i didn’t know that could happen. Do you have a backup of the save?
I don’t think i can do anything to fix it but at this point i’m debating if i should remove the bonus since it can cause problems like this
Try to edit the XML file and remove the part that allows the bow to reload 3 arrows, see if that also lets you join the world, please. The line is under the assassin armor in buffs.xml
Which of the two links is more current, and what is the difference between the two?
One gives unique skills to tier 6 only armor, other gives unique skills to all tiers (1-6).
2nd one seems to be preferred by the majority of players.

It’s called “full armor set bonuses”
To get the bonus, you need to have all 4 pieces of the SAME armor, or else it will not work!
For example, if you want the Assassin bonus, you need to have 4 assassin armor equipped.

But i also improved the stats of tier 1-5 armors. Makes wanting to craft tier 6 a lot more rewarding and exciting

were does the mod install to
simply extract it into the “Mods” folder, you can find this folder into your 7 Days To Die folder.
steamapps -> common -> 7 Days To Die
