Disable Creative Menu for Good

7 days to die disable creative menu for good

Disables creative menu so creative menu will only show empty if trying to open it. This will mostly prevent cheating in single player games because cm can be always enabled with command even if cheat is turned off in settings. This mod makes SP almost fully legit. Items still can be spawned with commands and debug menu can still be used though but still thanks to this mod it will be harder to spawn items and may make players actually play more legit and not bothering using cm command easily. This mod is simple and only puts away creative inventory and should be used when playing legit survival. This mod is not recommended to use when testing other mods for instance when creative menu may be needed.

I got this idea from a forum website where a user mentions a way to change script in original files to make it work but I decided to make a mod for it that makes the change without tampering the original game files.

I guess people have a hard time trying not to cheat. I would like the complete opposite. I want to be able to open the cheat menu without having my achievements to turn off… Why? You would ask… because building in this game is kind of tedious, having my motorcycle disappear randomly when I open my game, selling stuff by mistake and not being able to buy it back, and because this is my damn singleplayer game, and I want to be able to use achievements while in debug mode…

This is unnecessary.
Anyone who doesn’t want to use Creative Mode in their single-player game can… just not use it.
The *only* use-case for this mod is to prevent another player from using Creative Mode in their own playthrough, and that’s just dumb because it’s none of your business how they play.

If you’d like a suggestion for a mod that would actually be useful, how about one that makes tracked animals actually show up on the compass? Currently, a successful animal track often doesn’t appear on the compass until you’re within a certain distance.

Not sure at all why this mod is necessary. If it is single player, play your game how you want to play and be done with it.

Well luckily this mod is not mandatory to download or use. Just don’t get the mod if you don’t like it lol. This mod can be useful to certain people that want to in case limit cheating possibility in survival games that are supposed to be legit. DM and commands still work but this mod can give some more control ability to avoid spawning items so easily which can help to keep survival games more legit when they are supposed to.
