Zombie_SizeScale was originally created for personal use on a server, but due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to use it with my friends as I had hoped. I hope someone else can have fun with this mod!
MOD DESCRIPTION
This mod introduces two different sizes for every zombie in the base game: a size of 0.6 and a size of 1.5.
What Makes Them Different?
- Size 0.6: These zombies are quick in movement but less resistant to damage.
- Size 1.5: These zombies are more imposing and robust, but their speed is reduced.
Additionally, I’ve introduced some extreme variants: 12 special zombies that can be considered as “minibosses.” These are hybrids of abilities from different types of zombies, so never take what you see for granted!
The zombies with special sizes to watch out for are:
- 1 zombie with size: 0.3
- 4 zombies with size: 4
- 1 zombie with size: 7
(Note: Zombies with enormous sizes (4 and 7) all share the same abilities. Why? Due to game logic, their height prevents them from hitting the player. I solved this by giving them the abilities of the cop zombie and significantly reducing their walking speed.)
WHERE TO INSTALL THE MOD?
The mod should be placed in the Mods folder of 7 Days to Die at the following path: Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods
Tip: Make sure to back up your save files before starting a game. Install the mod on both the server side and the client side to avoid compatibility issues.
PROBLEMS
- These zombies cannot spawn inside POIs, so they will only spawn outside.
- The zombies are configured to appear during the blood moon; however, if other mods that add zombies with a higher spawn probability are used, they may not appear.
CONCLUSION
I’m not an expert modder, and this is my first creation. It may not be perfect, but I sincerely hope you can have fun with it and that this mod adds a bit more variety to the game.
