A mod that allows you to convert all of 23 skill magazines into a skill magazine of your choice.
A Bit of History
With A21 live, your skill progression is tied to finding relevant magazine to craft better weapons, tools, medical supplies, etc. Although specing into related skill will add more chance of finding your favorite skill magazine, it is skill luck-based. This mod aims to add another way for players to turn all of skill magazines they do not need into one that matters for their play-style.
What This Mod Does
All of 23 skill magazines can be “scraped” into one Skill Magazine Scrap which could be crafted into any of the 23 skill magazines.
Default conversion rate is as follows:
- 1 Skill magazine into 1 Skill Magazine Scrap.
- 10 Skill Magazine Scraps are needed for 1 skill magazine.
Install
To install this mod, unzip the folder and place it inside “/7 Days to Die/Mods”. If “Mods” folder doesn’t exist, just create one.
The folder structure should look at like this “7 Days to Die/Mods/Skill_Magazine_Scraps”.
Only the host or dedicated server needs this mod. All other clients do not have to install this for the mod to work.
Small Issue
Razor’s original idea is to allow skill magazines be scraped (using in-game scrap feature) into Skill Magazine Scrap but Razor has found out that base game items cannot be modified to scrap into different items. So, he has to make-do with this solution using recipe method to allow players to convert skill magazines into scraps and then any magazine of their choice which works flawlessly.
Tweak
You can change the conversion rate to whatever you want. Just edit the number in recipes.xml.
