I stayed away from your mods because of your past, but I thought maybe you had changed and decided to give them a chance. But you lost that chance by sabotaging yourself. Not surprised, honestly. Whatever.
Hey, there.
I wanted to build off some of the words left by Sizen and Slayer; hopefully, this comes across as useful to consider, not pointless criticism.
I think went Sizen meant to say, is – the sickle at default, level one, is plenty powerful as is.
One duct tape isn’t much early on, but it’s not nothing – and the extra grasses help a lot, for sure.
But then, for the cost of fifty duct tape, something that makes you balk even later on, you get…
Not much of an improvement, if anything.
What’s ‘op’ is the early stage, and the latter stage is lackluster while requiring a lot of precious resources.
There was also a question I had about buckets; are they meant to disappear after one watering?
Iron is plentiful, but crafting new buckets to water my crops felt a bit goofy.
Haven’t gotten the well yet, so maybe that’s a long-term watering solution.
(Limestone feels very rare; it’s entirely possible to ‘skip’ a lot of progression, or at least that’s what ended up happening to me; I got hydroponics farms up long before my first water tower!)
All that said, however, the mod adds a lot of experience and atmosphere to the actual post-apocalyptic crop life, which is why many of us are here, haha.
I really appreciate the energy you put into it, and I’m commenting because I dig it and want to see it keep developing.
Best.
Hey there,
Great feedback. Some of these things are being addressed in the next update, once 2.0 Releases.
The Limestone will be dropped from standard rocks around the map more often as well, or potentially from their own rock (Would require new save.)
The new update coming adds dozens of crops, environmental changes, new workstations for farming, etc.
Glad your enjoying the mod though!
Yahoo! I’m glad it was clear that I love your work.
I know I can come across as terse when I don’t mean to.
Sounds perfect, and I don’t mind starting a new save.
Keep up the great work, and of course take time for yourself, too.
love the mod except there’s a few issues i’ve got.
have i done something wrong and is it becuase i’ve got the workstation expansion mod on?
Sounds like its not installed correctly. Please refer to this video to see how to install Mods:

Client and SS
Hi, i would like ot try, but it could be cool to say if it’s server side or client side. I search farm mod like this one but for my server
Thank you
Any time a mod has custom assets, its Client Side. Also the tag on the mod said Server & Client Side.
This mod looks promising! I can’t wait to try it out
I saw that you have more animals planned for this mod. Will they be able to roam about? And any chances tamed rabbits might be included?
Once 2.0 hits, this will be on my to do. So yes, they will be. May even add alligators and things of that nature as well to the map to add even more difficulty.
Ok so I encountered 3 bugs.
If you have issues, use the support link as Specified. This is not the place I will provide support.
I installed this Mod in a 1.3 single player game. I cannot get it to work. Would you or anyone have an idea why?
Instead of asking here, where I do not check you should reach out on Discord. Sounds to me like it was installed incorrectly.
What’s the heat addition on these items?
Zero.
I installed your mod on an existing server, it has a certain object that has no icons, and when I try to install an object it has a cube with
question mark(?) in blue and purple color
You have installed it incorrectly. The Mod requires Server AND Client Side download, as specified.
Hello, is the sickle still only harvesting 6 grass each like in v2.0.3 especially for tier 6 sickle? I feel disappointed spending so much duct tape for harvesting only 6 grass per swing or its just mine is affected by other mods. Thank you
6 Grass per swing is 3x the amount vs vanilla collection.. it seems pretty balanced to me.
I mean there is not much difference in tier 1 sickle and tier 6 sickle in harvest or swing speed, yet the resources difference to make both sickle is absurd requiring more than 50 duct tape for tier 6.
That’s how its made, I don’t know what to tell you. Im not here trying to super tools for farming equipment. The tool harvest is way more effective either way than by hand. Not to mention if its that much of a issue, edit the recipe.
Can this be put onto an existing world or does it need to be put on a new vanilla?
Existing is fine
Update:
I am waiting for the Crops to be finished to release an update. The tractor is now done, and can Mow, Plant Seeds, Harvest, Harvest Corpses, etc. Will fill you in soon!
How do you mine limestone?
Its dropped from the Water Tower!
The Asian chicken coup requires baby chickens to make, but how do i get baby chickens if the Asian coup drops them?
Hi Jeremy.
The Asian Coop drops them BUT also the American Coop drops them on rarer occasions.
Best,
TheMeanOne
GOAT! They should hire you lmao
Hi, just a thought – can you release a version where the rewards are more balanced? I feel that it is slightly overpowered – trivializing honey and mineral water completely. Ok i guess if you don’t like the survival aspect of the game and want a lot of resources without working for it. Also, i seemed to get all the skill books to max the skill in about 3 hours of gameplay, maybe the drop rate could be tuned a bit lower. All else is great!
Hey Slayer!
Thanks for the feedback. This is a first for someone saying that it seems a bit overpowered on the drops.
Can I ask, have you been able to obtain all of the upgraded variants yet of the coop and hive? If so, how long did it take?
I did scale some things up and down. I think I can definitely tune that loot drop rate for magazines. That is a common thing I’ve been told.
Originally they were more scarce. Now they are more common. lol. I will find that right balance in the coming update. Promise!
Also be on the lookout for coming updates. I will be adding more coops, hives, new workstations and mechanics to the game.
Best,
TheMeanOne
Hi, wow thanks for responding. I don’t want to sound hyper critical of the mod, and it might do better to test it on a new game.
The books drop rate seems a bit high as stated.
I have not upgraded past the basic structures yet no, but i presume these would take quite a while to get to. This part of the mod does not seem unbalanced to me at all and it makes sense that you have to work to get to the better “structures”.
If it is worth anything, what i think might be better to decrease is the amount of honey you get and also the amount of mineral water. Maybe make it so that it gives you normal water at first, and then mineral water when upgraded? And with the honey, from my game i think it could be at least halved.
I appreciate the work, your mods are awesome – look forward to seeing where you go next.
is this server side? only the client owner of the server?
Client Side. Any time something has custom assets it cannot be ServerSide.
Are there any major differences between this and your workstation expansion mod? I don’t see any big differences outside of the level unlocking for certain stuff and this mod has some custom assets so it seems like it would be better.
Yes there is a lot of differences. At the moment there is obviously a lot of new custom assets, however on next update this will be considered an “overhaul” as I will be adding in new biome changes, new physical workstations, cows, pigs, Giant Hornets, etc.
So this lays the groundwork for that
Also this done does have some new tool types and things like that.
