Here comes the alternate Version of the Map “New York Undead 21“: “New York Undead 21B”.
The “B” stands for “Bright” or – if you want – for “Beginners”. I had some Requests: “The first Map is too dark and has too many empty Buildings”. So i made the Map more “friendly” and removed the Burnt-Biome from many Regions. Further i let “Teragon” create brand new Cities with much more Downtown-Buildings in it. Then i overworked the Central Park-Area: I added a Street around and created some nice Lakes which makes the Park much more attractive imo.
Installation
Download & unzip the File and put the Folder “New York Undead 21B” into your Generated Worlds-Folder: OS(C:)/User/”YourUserName”/AppData/Roaming/7DaystoDie/GeneratedWorlds
If the Folder “AppData” is not showing up just unhide your “YourUserName”-Folder!
Attention!
If your Game is not on your C-Drive i recommend to install the Map directly into your Game-Folder where “Navezgane” is to find (or maybe 7D can’t find the Map):
…/Steam/steamapps/common/7DaystoDie/Data/Worlds
Choose the Map in the Game Menu and Start the Game.
Enjoy & have Fun!

Somthing real weird going on when we try and play this map all the city streets are missing.
NVM im an idiot figured it out
Tip for a better Performance: Before starting the Game go into the Dynamic Mesh Options and set everything to “off” or as low as you can, except “Mesh Distance” (500 is too low imo – i recomment 1000 or 1500). In the Graphic-Options I have also set the “Texture Filter” to “Low” – i can’t see a difference and it runs a little bit better on my System.
Has anyone tried to run this on a dedicated server?
Is there any reason why this may cause the game to lag?
It can be that the Map needs a good System or reduced Graphic Settings because of the much higher amount of Downtown-POIs. You could reduce the Render Distance, Resolution and the Reflexions.
Tip: Reduce all Settings in the Dynamic Mesh-Tab (Video Options) until it runs just fine.
Hey, BlazinBlue! You’re right: The Map has indeed issues with some “Micro-Lags”! Yesterday i had my first Bloodmoon in Central Manhattan and when more Zombies, Cops etc. appear the Game & Audio stutters from time to time. This is of course a little bit annoying, but maybe my System is just not good enough!
I’m gonna keep testing/playing – maybe it’s better to make Bloodmoons in the Central Park (i recommend)…
Info: This is only an alternate Version of the Original!
So the good old One will also be supported in the Future – at least as long as possible.
